WE ARE COOL AND SO DO YOU!

I love the Internet. As you can see, the online space or rather this blog has managed to solve my frustration of not being able to talk to everyone as often as I’d like ;)

In between meetings, trips and other commitments, it’s hard to stop and chat with those around me. Now with this blog, I not only have a space to say what I think and feel but also hear what you guys have to say about us. About Velvet Clothing.

As I end this first post and officially enter the blogosphere, I would like to say thanks for stopping by. Look forward to writing more stuff in here.

p/s: Happy New Year, better late than never ;p

Love,

Beba, the fashion warrior.

Yay, yay and yay!

Hello guys and gurls! Today is all about excitements as Velvet Clothing will be appearing on TV3 later tonite! Do tune and catch us crossing live from Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week at 8pm!

I am so overwhelmed with your responds and Britney from Melbourne has forwarded a very interesting inquiries:

"Your company is one of the famous fashion companies in the world. Your company has developed to a standard level in clothing line. But, do your company hired employees that come from various ethnicities?"

Velvet Pte. Ltd has become one of most well-known Asia brands that branch out more than 1000 store around Asia Pacific including 9 branches in Australia, 7 in New Zealand currently has more than 7000 employees! and through 7000 employees we have the most various ethnicity.

For example in Malaysia, we have all kind of races in our company where most of the top management in the company itself comes from various ethnicities.

Fashion does not symbolize ethnicity. Fashion is for all people that comes from various walk of life ;)

FW09 PARIS FASHION WEEK
For some reason, I am not at my usual place and I feel sick.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

While typing this out, I'm enjoying every minutes and seconds, sipping coffee and viewing the gorgeous side of PARIS!

It's PARIS FASHION WEEK, dear.

I personally liked the McQueen collection. They were amped up pieces that parodied 20th century fashion landmarks from Dior, Chanel and his own archives. Take away all the theatrical jazz, they are actually very wearable and gorgeous! Not to mention the wealth of satirical meaning behind the collection.

And in three days, Velvet Clothing Line will make its first appearance in France! All excited but scared as well, but hey, we got to do what we need to do; to invade the city of romantic, Paris!

Wish me luck!

Love,

Beba, the fashion warrior

FW09 PARIS FASHION WEEK: UPDATE!

I haven’t been paying much attention to Stella McCartney the pass few seasons, because her “sportier” sensibility didn’t go too well with my innate girliness and aversion to sports. But this season, Stella is back and the magic ingredient seems to be a pinch of tulle/lace.

There were the regular effortlessly cool jumpsuit dresses and boyfriend blazers that were pure Stella, and then there were the gorgeous tulle dresses that were just genius. Yes, Lily Donaldson’s slip dress does look a bit like a negligee, but that is nothing a good leather jacket cannot fix (think of the sharp contrast!). I’m loving the simple design, overlaying tulle and the vibrant green. The evening dress (far right) is also genius. It is revealing, but not quite because of the tulle. I’m not sure how a regular girl is going to wear that see through skirt part, but the concept is refreshing and fun.

Till then,
